    Exerpt:

The wind shifted unexpectedly. The smokejumpers found themselves engulfed in the flames and ran for their lives. One didn’t make it out. Matti was awakened by her daughter’s scream.

Shoni, through her sobs, eked out the words. “I watched the whole thing in a nightmare, Mom. Willie was left behind to die. A teammate saw he was in trouble. Why didn’t he help him?”

Being a Sheriff’s Deputy, Matti begins an investigation that may cost her daughter everything.

    The Greatest Softball Game

First in “The Adventures of Matti and Jake” series, this is a story about a couple separated by circumstances for 18 years and how they reunited. It is a tragic yet beautiful story for which each paid a large toll. It tells how they met, the trials and tribulations each endured along the way, and the people harmed in the wake of their actions to ultimately get back together.

Despite the lack of two-way communication during the separation, their mutual hunger for one another never died. When their paths once again crossed, it was obvious the flame had not died. The sex was magnificent. This story explores the challenges they faced with a now 20-year-old, head-strong daughter who makes life as difficult as possible for everyone and how a surprise comes along to help the extended families heal. The story tells of the collateral damage created along the way, how they made new friends in a distant land, brought together five generations, melded families, healed old wounds, and welcomed a newborn while Jake delivered a pitch during what some consider "The Greatest Softball Game."

Chase And The Spirits of The Trestle

While exploring deeper in the woods than they ever had, Chase and his two buddies discovered a seldom-used railroad spur built to service a facility that had long since seen its better days. With nothing better to do, they followed it to see where it led.

They soon came upon a small creek flowing beneath a wooden trestle. It stood surrounded by the granite rocks that supported the tracks they'd been following. Little did the boys know what adventures that trestle would provide, the treasures it would yield, or the trouble it would cause.

    Idyllic Childhood?

"The author has a knack for portraying the youth of the era he grew up in - maybe because there's more than a little autobiographical content. From scrapes to escapes, from trouble to getting away with trouble, the reader holds his breath and then laughs. I only hope the author continues with more of his childhood in further works"
